I’m Tyler Beadlescomb. You might have known me as Tyler Moorehead before — especially if we’ve worked together in the past — but considering how obvious it’s always been that my wife is the better half of us, a rebrand for me when I got married only made sense.
The question people always want to know right away..."what do you do?”
Currently, I serve as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Content for the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever. The goal is to provide amazing experiences for our fans, whether they are coming to games in person, watching our broadcasts, or following along in so many digital ways — across social, team websites, team apps, e-mail marketing, SMS, and more. Working with two incredibly powerful brands in the heart of basketball country, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to build new generations of fans for the long haul.
Before joining the Pacers and Fever in 2022, I was on the User Growth team at TikTok, focusing on media channel partnerships. In short, my mission was simple: proactively explore and source potential partnership opportunities across technology, media, and brand partners to help make TikTok better. The idea was to think creatively about how to expand the audience, create better user experiences, generate revenue, and identify chances to innovate and evolve the product.
Prior to TikTok, my career was primarily sports-focused in the media world, with several stops; most recently at FOX Sports, but before that the Oakland Raiders, and College Spun (a startup I co-founded in 2012). I’ve always been involved in creative content production. I’ve been fortunate to lead large, award-winning content teams that create everything from Snapchat videos to digital livestreams to TV shows. I’ve worked on global events such as the World Cup, Super Bowl, and Daytona 500, yet also truly love sharing stories of local community work and the impact teams and athletes can have on the people around them. I’m a true storyteller at heart with a passion for revenue generation — helping companies tell stories that drive business results via branded content deals, strategic partnerships, and other innovative solutions. I spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons with the Oakland Raiders, an amazing opportunity
That being said, I do not think careers alone define people — like everyone else, I am so much more than a job! So here’s a bit more about who I am as a person.
I’m originally from Erie, Pennsylvania. I went to the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana — Go Irish! — and graduated with a degree in English. Since then, I’ve made stops living in New York City, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Indianapolis, where I currently reside with my wife Amanda. I’m a cat dad to our two beautiful girls, Millie and Matcha.
I love deep, philosophical conversations and nerdy intellectual discourse on pretty much any subject. I read a ton of books, everything from fantasy to business. I’ll binge almost anything on Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+ but have a special love for superhero movies, romantic comedies, and investigative documentaries. I love to work out at the gym, which is important because I love to cook and eat even more. No matter how old I get, I love arcades, zoos, movie theaters, and tourist shops. 90s music is the best. I’m left-handed. Twitter is my favorite social platform. I enjoy a great game of Monopoly, Scrabble, or Yahtzee. I love to play golf, basketball, cornhole, cards…you name it. When I play, I play to win.
My favorite sports teams, because those are important to know: I'm a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, and all of the Notre Dame collegiate athletics teams.
Above all else, I try to live my life with honesty, respectfulness, curiosity, accountability, and a sense of humor — we could all use some good laughs. If you aren’t having fun in life, what are you doing?
Things That I Value:
Family & Friends — Especially my incredible wife, Amanda. Surrounding yourself with good people is so important.
Traveling The World — We live on a huge, awesome planet with so many diverse cultures and sights…I intend to explore as much of it as possible.
New Experiences — Whether it’s learning a new skill, trying a thrill-seeking adventure, or tasting something for the first time, I really enjoy pushing myself further and gaining new perspectives.
Sports — They’ll always hold a special place in my heart, as a participant, a fan, or as a job. I love the competition, the camaraderie, the emotions, the magic.
The Arts — Books, movies, music, paintings…I have a profound respect for all creative expression and am consistently awed and impressed by others.
Naps — who doesn’t love, and need, a good nap?
A few quotes that I try to live by:
“Never grow a wishbone where your backbone ought to be.”
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
“You are never really playing an opponent. You are playing yourself, your own highest standards, and when you reach your limits, that is real joy.”
“Compromise where you can. Where you can’t, don’t. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right. Even if the whole world is telling you to move, it is your duty to plant yourself like a tree, look them in the eye, and say, ‘No, YOU move.’”
